Visit a certified physician who can confirm that you have a qualifying condition for access to medical marijuana. The physician will create your profile in the Patient & Caregiver Registry. Confirm and complete your registration for the program through the Patient & Caregiver Registry.

  • A patient must indicate to a certified physician that they are electing you to serve as a caregiver for them
  • The physician will then create your profile in the Patient & Caregiver Registry
    • If the patient is a minor, they must have a caregiver
  • Confirm and complete your registration for the program through the Patient & Caregiver Registry
  • NOTE: Caregiver registration will be activated after approval by the Board of Pharmacy

The link found in the activation email will be active for 90 days. However, the link can only be accessed once.

No. By clicking the link in your activation email, you will be asked to create a password for your Registry profile. Once you create your password and choose your time zone, you will be logged into your Registry profile. While the link in your activation email will no longer be active, you can log back into the Registry by visiting www.ohiomedicalmarijuanaregistry.com and entering your username (email address) and password.

Terminally Ill patients and their caregivers may collectively purchase, within a 90-day period, no more than a 90-day supply. A 90-day is defined as:

  • For plant material:
    • Up to 10 ounces (two hundred eighty-three and five-tenths grams) of Tier I medical marijuana
    • Up to six and six-tenths ounces (one hundred eighty-seven and one-tenths grams) of Tier II medical marijuana
  • Up to thirty-three and three-tenths grams of THC content in patches for transdermal administration or lotions, creams, or ointments for topical administration
  • Up to eleven and seven-tenths grams of THC content in oil, tincture, capsule, or edible form for oral administration
  • Up to sixty-five and seven-tenths grams of THC content in medical cannabis oil for vaporization

All other patients and their caregivers may collectively purchase, within a 90-day period, no more than a 90-day supply. A 90-day supply is defined by form as follows:

  • Up to 8 ounces of tier I medical marijuana
  • Up to 5.3 ounces of tier II medical marijuana
  • Up to 26.55 of THC content for patches, lotions, creams, and other topical forms of medical marijuana
  • Up to 9.9 grams of THC content in oils, tinctures, capsules, and other edible forms for oral administration
  • Up to 53.1 grams of THC content in medical cannabis oil for vaporization

The minimum quantity that you can purchase during your sales transaction depends on the form of medical marijuana that you are purchasing.

  • 1/10 of an ounce or 2.83 grams of plant material/flower
  • 295mg of THC contained in a patch, lotion, cream, or ointment
  • 110mg of THC contained in oil, tincture, capsule, or edible for oral administration
  • 590mg of THC contained in oil for vaporization
